Outreach

Public understanding of science is of vital importance. We like to get the word out that plant research helps solve global issues, such as secure supplies of food, energy and materials, and how it benefits agriculture, horticulture, forestry and environmental conservation.

CambPlants frequently organises public events, and supports teachers and schools.

PUBLIC EVENTS

European Plant Science Organisation (EPSO) Fascination of Plants Day www.plantday12.eu

Cambridge University participates in the Fascination of Plants Day by holding Festival of Plants events at the Botanic Garden around this date.
