CambPlants activities are focused on facilitating research collaborations, convening strategic relationships and enhancing capability among researchers through different activities and programmes. Among them the following flagship events are highlighted:

Cambridge Science Festival

CambPlants co-organises the Plant and Life Sciences Marquee during the annual University of Cambridge Science Festival, to showcase plant-related research to the public.

The Young Innovators' Forum (YIF) is designed to help scientists and farmers understand more about each others' worlds. The Forum organises free to attend, informal events in the lab and the field aimed at helping bridge the gap between research and production.

These events are afternoons dedicated to postgraduate careers in the agricultural sector, with companies and University departments presenting their work and career opportunities.

CambPlants Industrial Talks

CambPlants Industrial Talks are one-hour seminars to highlight Plant Sciences industrial collaborations with the participation of an academic and an industrial representative and also include a networking session.

Translational Funders Day

These events bring together research council representatives, researchers and industry to network and learn about latest funding opportunities in plant sciences, agriculture, animal health and conservation.

CambPlants has been running its monthly flagship event Impact@Tea, which are drop-in sessions in order to raise awareness of research impact and the various routes for achieving it. There are no sessions scheduled at the moment, but watch this space for future updates.
