Join us for an evening on a large, forward thinking farm!

Elveden Estates will be opening their brand new facilities to us, including post-harvest produce stores, grader facilities for sorting produce, and a ‘muddy boots’ lab, too. Technical Manager and YIF attendee Emma will be talking us through maintaining produce quality in storage and carrying out tests on farm for quality.

  • Learn what’s involved in keeping produce cool and consistent in quality post-harvest for later sale
  • Discover innovative research & technology taking place on farm
  • Experience first-hand brand new facilities

Young farmers, research scientists, trainee agronomists and industry entrants are all welcome at this free, informal event.

CambPlants will organise free transport from the Department of Plant Sciences to Elveden Estates and back.

Please email Niina Valbuena at niv21@cam.ac.uk if you'd like to join the visit, or if you have any questions.

YIF has been catalysed by Agri-Tech East in collaboration with CambPlants Hub and the Cambridgeshire Young Farmers Club. YIF is sponsored by the Morley Agricultural Foundation.
