Professor Beverley Glover is set to star in a BBC programme called "Carol Klein's Plant Odysseys", due to air on Monday 27 July on BBC2 at 7pm, with three subsequent episodes also on Monday evenings. It’s a fascinating series about the origins of some of our most well-loved flower species.

Presenter Carol Klein explores the biological and botanical history of four iconic plants – including the rose and the water lily. Carol traces each plant’s epic journey through time, looking at how millions of years of evolution have created unique characteristics, and how man has bent these traits to his will and the vagaries of fashion.

Department of Plant Sciences BBSRC DTP student, Greg Mellers, carried out his PIPS with Oxford Scientific Film and played a key part in writing for this series.
