The University of Cambridge Algal Innovation Centre (AIC) will run a two-day professional training course on Algal Biotechnology Techniques and Opportunities for the Sustainable Bioeconomy in September.

The training course is a part of a training programme organised by the University of Cambridge, Matís (Iceland) and Fraunhofer (Germany), funded by EIT Food.

The training course at the Algal Innovation Centre in Cambridge will provide the participants with introductory hands-on training and theory in algal biology, culturing, growth and subsequent molecular and metabolite analysis under laboratory and small to large scale growth facilities. The training is led by Dr Matt Davey from the Department of Plant Sciences.

Registration for the course is now open, with deadline on 31 August. Click here to find out more about the course content and how to register.
