CambPlants, together with Cambridge Global Food Security and the Bioscience Impact Team, is organising a training event for PhD students and Postdocs at Robinson College, Cambridge on 16 May.

The event is a workshop for early career researchers at Cambridge University whose research could be relevant to the food sector. The training on the day will focus on effective communication and how to sell your skills and experience to the industry.

Registration to the training workshop is now open. Please visit the event page for more information and register at: https://bit.ly/2IFR7q5. This event is free to attend because of generous funding we've received from the Isaac Newton Trust and the BBSRC.

The event will be the second in a series of three networking events organised by Cambridge Global Food Security for PhD students and Postdocs at Cambridge University, interested in global food systems and the food industry. The first one was a networking event at the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research on 5 April, gathering together 25 PhD students and Postdocs interested in global food systems from eight departments including Plant Sciences, Chemistry, Development Studies and MRC Epidemiology (Read more about the networking event here). The final event in the series will take place in June, when the participants will have a chance to meet industry representatives and discuss possibilities for collaboration, placements or future careers.
